Google: Project Soli

Ultralow power, chip-scale gesture sensor

Soli is a new sensing technology that employs ultralow-power, radar-on-a-chip for touchless gesture sensing.

The doppler echo of incident millimeter-wave (60 GHz) radiofrequency energy is processed at a rapid frame-rate, enabling the capture of touchless, microscale, ergonomic gestures.

Soli technology integrates multiple antennas, radiofrequency circuitry and processing components, all on a robust, single piece of silicon. This enables the incorporation of this sensing modality in the challenging form-factor of a smartwatch.

Google: Project Jacquard

Interactive textile

Jacquard technology enables a new form of wearable technology, by weaving-in interactivity into textiles.

Engineered conductive yarn is introduced into the standard weaving process to produce an interactive window on the garment. The garment communicates with other personal devices via a flexible-electronics module interfacing to the textile.

Sifteo: Gaming platform

Interactive blocks for tactile gameplay

Sifteo cubes are tactile, interactive playing blocks that can sense their motion and sense each other, enabling an engaging gaming experience.
